Who We Are

Message from Dr. Laurie Hanin, Executive Director

Hello and welcome to the new website of the League for the Hard of Hearing! All of us at the League are so happy to be able to share our new website with all of you.  I know that through our website, we’ll be able to provide you with information on hearing loss and the services that the League provides. We will also be better able to keep you up to date on the latest information in the field, in legislative issues, and also with what’s going on at the League, both in New York and in Florida.

The League for the Hard of Hearing was established in 1910. Through the years we have changed in many different ways in our efforts to stay current in providing the critical services that are needed by infants, children, and adults with hearing loss. The one thing that has never changed, and that will never change, is the League’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art, high quality, compassionate care to individuals with all degrees of hearing loss, and their families. Whether young or older, whether you have had a hearing loss for many years or are just beginning to explore your hearing health care needs, the League is here to help you “connect to life.”

I hope that you find the information that you need and that you will use our website to become a part of our League family. We would appreciate your feedback on the website and any suggestions you may have for how we can better provide you with what you need. I invite you to email us at info@lhh.org with any of your ideas and as always, with any questions about hearing health.
